At NurtureMe, we see YOU, the mother

When a new baby arrives, the whole world naturally shifts its focus to the baby. But who is looking after you? Over 35 years ago, Deb Sirone founded NurtureMe on one belief: at NurtureMe, we see YOU, the mother. We know that when a mother is supported, rested and confident, her baby thrives.

Our 5-week baby massage classes in Tumbi Umbi were created to bridge the gap between newborn care and your own wellbeing. It isn’t just a massage class. It’s a peaceful, 2-hour weekly sanctuary where you learn practical, lifelong skills to soothe your baby, followed by time to relax while our caring team looks after your little one.

The 5-week baby massage curriculum

Designed for babies aged 6 weeks to 5 months (before crawling), our weekly program combines gentle Swedish and Indian-inspired strokes, abdominal reflexology and gentle lymphatic movements. Each week adds a new body focus while building on the strokes you’ve already learned.

Week 1: Lower body grounding & legs

Learn respectful, cue-based touch and gentle leg and foot strokes to help your baby relax and feel grounded in their body.

Week 2: Abdominal reflexology & tummy comfort

Learn the ‘I Love You’ tummy strokes and clockwise reflexology that many parents use to help release trapped wind and settle reflux and colic discomfort.

Week 3: Chest, arms & easy breathing

Discover chest-opening strokes and gentle arm massage to help your baby breathe deeply and let go of upper body tension.

Week 4: Face & back

Practise soothing facial strokes that can comfort a teething baby, plus full back massage to help release tension from time in car seats and prams.

Week 5: Full body flow & graduation

Bring every stroke together into a rhythmic full-body flow. Then celebrate with a graduation photo, a certificate and a celebratory morning tea with Bron’s cakes.

The heart of every class: tea, cake & connection

The first hour is hands-on time with your baby, learning and practising the strokes. The second hour belongs entirely to you. While your baby is lovingly looked after, cuddled and minded by our team, you move into our cosy tea lounge. Enjoy a hot tea or coffee with Bron’s freshly baked cakes, and connect with other local mums going through the same stage of early parenthood. Many of our mums find the friendships made over these morning teas become their most valued support through maternity leave and beyond.

Ineka Soetens

Deb is truly one of a kind and the baby massage class reflects that. 5 weeks isn’t enough, I would visit nurture me every day if I could, this place will always hold a special place in my heart for being such a great initiation into motherhood.

★★★★★

Rachel Lindley

My introduction to Nurture Me was via the baby massage class, with my first baby, it was so much more then a quiet loving moment with the baby, but was also an opportunity to hear the wisdom from season mother Deb & connection with new mums in the current trenches.

Curious about baby massage? We have answers

It’s natural to have questions before starting something new with your little one. Here are the questions mums ask us most, so you can feel confident and prepared before your first session.

What is the best age for my baby to join?

Our classes are ideal for babies aged 6 weeks to 5 months (before crawling). This is the best window for learning cue-based touch and easing early tummy discomfort.

What if my baby cries, sleeps or needs a feed during class?

Class is 100% baby-led. If your baby needs a feed, a cuddle or a nappy change, you follow their rhythm. We provide practice dolls so you never miss learning a stroke.

Can my husband, partner or support person attend?

Yes. Dads and partners are warmly invited to attend every session for free. Deb teaches skin-to-skin bonding strokes designed especially for dads, helping partners build confidence in soothing, holding and connecting with their new baby.

Where are classes held and is parking available?

Classes take place in our calm, cosy sanctuary at 22 Adelaide Street, Tumbi Umbi, on the Central Coast. We have free on-site parking and easy ground floor pram access.

Welcoming mums across the Central Coast

Located centrally in Tumbi Umbi, our sanctuary welcomes families from across the Central Coast, including Bateau Bay, Erina, Wamberal, Terrigal, Tuggerah, The Entrance and Gosford.
